THE WINE REGION COMPETITION IS OVER

The 2007 Wine Region Wine Competition is over. There were several 2006 year excellent wines nominated.
Special awards were given to Bodri Cellar Merlot Barrique 2004, Mészáros Cellar Merlot 2004 and Merlot 2006, a Prantner Cellar Kadarka 2006, the Takler Cellar Cuvée 2003, and the Vesztergombi Cellar Cabernet Sauvignon 2003 wines.

THE WINEPLAN PROJECT IS FINISHED

The WINEPLAN IIIC project arrived to its finish. The project supported by the EU made availbale the support of active collaboration of responsible persons working in wine region development from Lower Austria, Middle of Italy, Rheingau (D) and Szekszárd.

As results of the porject there were finalised several actions regarding the organisign and long term marketing of the wine regions, common thinking on the wine routes development, preparation of a web-portal, eiditng of touristical materials about the wine regions.

WINE HARVEST FESTIVAL AGAIN

The festival is organised third time based on the renewed concept. This is an exceptional period for Szekszárd, when it can prensent its wines, gastronomy and handicraft culture.

The march of the festival is one of the most popular program point.

There are lots of visitors who were born here and then they settled somewhere else. They seek recharging by returned home. More and more visitors from different locations of the country are arriving to the event who have no roots here, they are atracted by the good level of the festival.

The Szekszárd Wine Region Authority expects its clients at Táncsics u. 3.

Clients having administrative problems, asking certificate of origin and other issues where the competence is at the Wine Region Authority, are welcomed by the office on Monday and Wednesday 8.30-12.30 and 13.30-15.30, and on Friday 8.30-12.00.
